It's a must that we close our look back at 2016 showhouses with a classic - the Home for the Holidays Designer Showhouse presented by Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles magazine. FireRock's masonry fireplaces (5 indoor units total!) and slate roofing were used in the 2015 Home for the Holidays Designer Showhouse — a 15,000 square foot home located in Buckhead's Millwood Manor, just outside of Atlanta, GA.
We were thrilled to be involved in this project once again! FireRock pavers (in "Oyster" color) and indoor masonry fireplaces were selected for this project. Check out the highlights below. We even included a few snapshots taken during our photoshoot! [Photos by Chris Luker at Luker Photography]
Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles chose to renovate an existing home at Woodward Way in the heart of Buckhead for their 2016 Holiday Showhouse. The renovation stayed true to the historical and timeless character of the city while clean lines and symmetrical details added a contemporary touch. The home boasts a new English Arts & Crafts façade, multi-level terraces, painted limestone brick and steel doors.
The showhouse featured the talents of architect Charles Heydt of Pak Heydt & Associates, builder David Childers of Macallan Custom Homes, landscape architect Graham Pittman and a selection of some of the region’s best designers. Proceeds from ticket sales benefited Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, the largest healthcare provider for children in Georgia and one of the largest pediatric clinical care providers in the country.
