Our proprietary fireplace mix is thoughtfully designed for strength, durability and performance.
The base of our mix is a high-performing Greek pumice, which is naturally air entrained for greater heat reflection properties. We then add Calcium aluminate, a chemically-engineered cement binder designed for high heat applications and more durable than Portland Cement, the binder used by our primary competitor. Finally, to improve strength we add reinforcing fibers for lateral bonding and design our components to accommodate steel rebar for added support in weight-bearing units.
And to assure you we aren't just blowing smoke... our products are third-party tested annually to ensure they are above standard—regularly outperforming our competition 3x in tests of compressive strength.
